Care Flight Gardnerville Base

Over ten years ago on April 15, 1999, Care flight expanded its services to include a new helicopter based at Carson Valley Medical Center in Gardnerville; Care Flight 2. This new base has brought much needed aeromedical services to the rural areas south of Reno/ Sparks. Our improved response times to these areas have improved patient outcomes; with a cruising speed of 130 miles per hour, Care Flight helicopters are able to quickly transport severely injured or ill patients to critical-care-level services.
