Reno Area Inbound Helicopter Information

In conjunction with all the Reno area hospitals with helistops (Renown Regional Medical Center, St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Northern Nevada Medical Center, and Renown South Meadows Medical Center), Care Flight and REMSA Dispatch request that all medical helicopters inbound to the Reno area contact REMSA Dispatch on med channel 5 (TX - 468.100, RX - 463.100, PL - 24 (131.8)).

REMSA Dispatch will advise of any other known medical helicopter traffic in the area and of availability of the helistop. If going to Renown Regional Medical Center, then Dispatch will assign you to land on either the north or south rooftop helistop. Along with national guidelines, Care Flight also requests that all helicopters operating in the Reno area monitor air to air frequency 123.025. Along with all Care Flight helicopters, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office RAVEN helicopter also monitors this frequency.

When preparing to depart a Reno area hospital, please contact REMSA Dispatch on med channel 5 and advise your intentions. Dispatch will again advise of any known traffic in the area.
