Care Flight Truckee Base

Care Flight established Truckee as a base in 2003 and extended its hours of operation from 12 hours to 24 hours in 2006. We are located at the Truckee Tahoe Airport, where we have a hangar and living quarters. Care Flight provides service to the Tahoe region as well as its surrounding communities.

Care Flight offers many services in addition to air ambulance transport. Our helicopter has assisted in locating lost, sick and injured patients in the remote and rugged terrain. With our Night Vision Goggles (NVG) this service can be extended into the night hours. We train with local ski patrols, avalanche rescue dogs and their handlers to transport rescue personnel to the scene of an avalanche.
